Mission Statement
To empower creative professionals to learn, connect, earn — and build something of their own, on their own terms in the field of Animation, Visual Effects and Video Game development.
History
When we created CG Channel and CG Talk in the early 2000s, our mission was to seek out and promote digital artists worldwide. Over the years, we helped promote thousands of artists and launched the careers of hundreds.
The Vision
Today, in a world of constant change, we are renewing that mission to empower creative professionals to find new ways to learn, earn, and ultimately become financially self-sustainable. We bring this vision to life through five pillars:
//CLUB – Online events, challenges, webinars, etc.
//ACADEMY – Learning & teaching
//STUDIO – Recruiting & getting recruited
//EQUITY – Financing independent IP projects
//GRID
Get feedback from experienced professionals, partnering schools, and studios. Discover talent, participate in upcoming “Challenger” events where you can test your skills against other great talents while learning, networking, and having fun. The Grid is a modern evolution of the classic discussion forum — designed for today’s creative ecosystem.
//CLUB
Building on the //GRID, the //CLUB is the heartbeat of ADAPT ONE — a series of live events, creative challenges, and competitions where members connect, sharpen their skills, showcase their work, and get noticed by studios and collaborators.
//ACADEMY
A place where members can build and run their own courses, choosing the format that works best: pre-recorded masterclasses, mentored cohort-based workshops (6–12 weeks), or semester-long cohort programs (4–6 months). Instructors keep up to 80% of the revenues they generate, while promoting their content for free through The Grid.
This ecosystem allows instructors to deliver more value to students while earning more themselves, creating a virtuous cycle of learning, teaching, and exposure. A small portion of these revenues is reinvested into //adaptEQUITY to fund independent IP projects.
//STUDIO
Building on The Grid and The Academy, we collaborate with our members, top-tier talent, instructors, and partners to provide highly skilled professionals trained in the latest technologies and processes. Whether for short-term projects or long-term careers, //adaptSTUDIO connects creative talent with meaningful opportunities.
//EQUITY
At least 1% of //adaptONE’s revenues are reinvested into our community to fund independent IP projects in animation, film, and video games. Members can choose to contribute their skills at a reduced rate, in exchange for equity, or combine both — earning ownership, passive income from the projects they help create.
